innanzi tutto vi dico che dopo 4 o 5 pagine di discussioni che ho spulciato non sono riuscito a trovare la soluzione che fa per me e per questo chiedo il vostro aiuto se la soluzione era da quinta pagina in poi me la sono persa.
veniamo ai fatti.
ho installato su un nuovo hd ubuntu 13.10 poichè è l'ultima versione che funzionava bene sul mio vecchio pc desktop, il vecchio hd dopo averlo portato alla versione 14.10 ha funzionato per un po' e poi ha smesso di dare segni di vita (motivo per cui ho dovuto sostituirlo con questo nuovo hd).
per installarlo ho usato un cd che avevo in casa che veniva dalla rivista linux pro (o almeno mi pare si chiami così) e l'ho installato usando l'hd come esterno da un pc portatile perchè nel tentare di installarlo direttamente dal pc vecchio mi diceva che non ci riusciva per problemi con l'hd,che essendo nuovo non dovrebbe aver problemi, o con il lettore cd, e di questi ne ho sostituiti due nel tentare di installarlo ma non è cambiato nulla, dal portatile nessun problema ha installato dicendo che tutto è andato a buon fine.
una volta montato l'hd sul vecchio pc ho deciso di aggiornarlo prima di utilizzarlo e qui cominciano i problemi:
1) icona del divieto in alto a destra
2) se provo ad accedere all'aggiornamento software da modalità grafica non si apre nessuna finestra
3) se provo ad aggiornare tramite terminale non lo fa e mi da errori su errori,
