Richiede l'installazione di pacchetti non fidati

Salve raga ho un problemino ho disistallato GIMPil programma per modificare foto e immagini perchè volevo installare pinta ma niente non me lo fa installare, ho provato a dare il comando

Hai provato a fare un'installazione manuale, scaricando l'applicazione direttamente, tramite il suo debian, e poi ad installarla senza passare per APT?

Io passerei a una versione supportata, anche per ovvi motivi di sicurezza.
altrimenti devi usare i repo EOL Repository/SourcesList/EOL, come già indicato da maxbigsi.

salve ragazzi allora ho provato a aggiornare alla versione successiva, ho aperto la guida e mi sono dato una bella lettura, ho aperto il terminale e dato il comando lsb_release -dc

forse perchè non l'ho aperto con i privilegi di amministratore??
non ho capito bene anche leggendo la guida come attivare i privilegi da amministratore, dovrei dare il comando sudo??

quello che hai trovato, lo devi sostituire con gli EOL e non con CODENAME , ma devi mettere saucy al posto di CODENAME

e cancelli tutto quello che cè e incolli queste

fatta la modifica salva il file e chiudilo e dai come da guida

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
e dovresti avere il sistema nuovamente funzionante per quello che riguarda l'installazione e la rimozione di pacchetti, ovviamente obsoleti.

lancia gestore aggiornamenti e vedi se ti segnala il possibile avanzamento a 14.04 che è supportata LTS

allora lancio il comando che mi hai scritto dal terminale che mi permette di aprire il file di testo con i privilegi, seleziono tutto quello che c'è al suo interno, lo elimino e incollo solo quella parte di codice che mi hai postato,

La guida parla dei Repository aggiuntivi quali: Backports e Proposed a me non interessano??

il comando da eseguire dopo aver salvato e chiuso l'editor è differente da quello nella guida lo eseguo comunque??
