non riesco a installare E17 seguendo il wiki [RISOLTO]

ho seguito ogni passo della guida correttamente ma arrivo alla compilazione dei pacchetti ottenendo questo errore:

Cercando in synaptic ho trovato questi pacchetti xsltproc, xalan, libxslt1.1.. 
Prova a vedere se sono installati

però sorge un altro problema
secondo la guida dovrei dare il comando

L'utente davide, fa parte del gruppo admin?
Prova con la sintassi:

oppure davide:root (se vuoi accedervi anche da root, il secondo nome è il gruppo) o davide:davide (cioè senza user)

Se non serve, ed utilizzi soltanto tu il computer, potresti provare a modificare i permessi anzichè la proprietà:

ma scusa magari stò sparando una cavolata assurda... ma io quando ho installato enlightenment, ho semplicemente cercato in synaptic tutti i pacchetti che avevano ad accheffare con esso e gli ho installati...e funziona che è una meraviglia

Invece e' facilissimo! C'era anche un thread su questo,

Si tratta semplicemente di cancellare la cartella  /opt/e17 e quella di configurazione nella tua home ( /home/nomeutente/e17/...) editando poi di nuovo il file di login. Poi metti tranquillamente i pacchetti da repo.
Anzi, se vuoi, puoi anche tenere entrambi! Infatti restano belli separati e senza conflitti. Anche se per la verita' io ho trovato molti piu' problemi con i cvs rispetto ai repo....

Veramente i pacchetti da installare sono e17 e e17-extras . Avevo trovato questo howto ed è perfetto.

Avevo trovato qualcosa specifico per Ubuntu e non per Debian generica, ma funziona cmq.

Enlightenment è uno spettacolo sono rinato dopo KDE e pure XFCE, mi trovo davvero molto meglio !!  (good)

Allora, ti rispondo in maniera generica : se hai già installato gnome, e17 cmq può utilizzare applicazioni gtk (e anche qt, ovviamente), in quanto su una kubuntu + gnome faccio regolarmente girare programmi come gaim e krdc senza problemi. Come file manager, essendo troppo sperimentale, uso thunar, che a me sembra un buon compromesso di funzionalità e leggerezza.


Più specificatamente :
1) non so se sia automatico, ma la stessa applicazione che usi sotto gnome la dovresti poter usare con E17 se hai lasciato le librerie
2) samba e ssh : uhm.... per il primo, non ho fatto prove. ssh c'è sempre il solito ssh da riga di comando, non so se intendi questo.
3) c'è, ha anche una "epplet" (una desklet per intenderci) che indica lo stato della batteria
4) niente automount, come con xfce (sempre che qualcuno non sappia come si fa ad abilitarlo). ma da thunar vedi la risorsa , tasto destro e fai "mount volume"
5) c'è tutto
6) non ho provato ma non dipende dall'interfaccia grafica in linea di massima...
7) se non ricordo male c'è un modulo

cmq, occupa talmente poco spazio e17 che vale la pena comunque di installarlo e provarlo

@Farno: sei riuscito ad installare? Potrebbe dipendere dal tuo processore o configurazione del sistema. Sul mio, ubuntu-6.10_powerpc non riesco, neppure compilando, su alcuni dei pacchetti (evas) necessari, fallisce il make.

Per ora mi sono adattato ad e16, compilato dal tarball che funziona egregiamente, mi sembra, più veloce di fluxbox, lo sto esplorando per riuscire ad ottimizzarlo.
