Ho il presentimento che la distribuzione 16.04 non sia più supportata sul pacchetto hplip. e va in errore sui pacchetti dipendenti.

Allora prova a fare tutto manualmente. L' ho appena installata su ( Lubuntu ) su Macchina Virtuale.
La procedura è questa.
1° Accendi la Stampante.
2° Entra nel Router nella sezione ( Port Mapping ) controlla quale ( ip ) è associato alla tua Stampante.
3° Clicca su Stampanti di KDE poi su ( Cerca una Stampante in Rete ) se non la trova ti chiederà di inserire l'ip Host nella casella. Quindi lo immetti e digiti su ( Trova ) che comincerà a trovare i Driver della tua Stampante.
4° Finita la ricerca ti darà una lista di Stampanti. Ora cerca la tua nella lista, e se non ce seleziona l' HP Deskjet 3700 che usa gli stessi driver, e dai Ok.
Infine una volta configurata ti darà l'opzione di fare una stampa di Prova. Vedi Immagine

Ho il presentimento che la distribuzione 16.04 non sia più supportata sul pacchetto hplip. e va in errore sui pacchetti dipendenti.

Presentimento corretto ivantu, ho fatto l'upgrade dalla 16.04 alla 18.04 e tanto la stampante quanto lo scanner me li ha riconosciuti in automatico senza necessità di configurare.
