problemi con webcam integrata

Salve
sono un principiante ho installato Ubuntu 19.10 sul mio portatile (Asus TP550LJ) ma la webcam non funziona, ho provato ad installare sia cheese che guvcview, ma purtroppo la webcam viene riconosciuta ma la schermata è nera.

Ciao, alcuni hanno risolto il tuo stesso problema installando un kernel più recente. Forse è meglio che installi ubuntu 20.04 che ha software più recente, ha il supporto a lungo termine e un kenrl più recente. Ubuntu 19.10 ha un supporto di soli 10 mesi ed è una "versione" di sviluppo.
Per controllare puoi crearti una live con ubuntu 20.04 da chiavetta usb, avviare la live quando accendi il computer senza installare nulla e vedere se sulla 20.04 la webcam funziona.

Grazie per la risposta, ho già installato ubuntu 20.04 e la versione del kernel è 5.6.11-050611-generic, ma il problema non si è risolto.

Domanda sciocca, hao provato ad attivare la webcam con la combinazione di tasti? Di solito è Fn-F6, altri Fn-F8, basta che guardi dove c'è il disegnino della webcam. premi la combinazione e poi apri Guvcview
