problema stampa trattenuta (HP Photosmart C5180)

Non devi fare post consecutivi, se l'ultimo post è il tuo, basta aprire il post premendo il tasto "matita" e modifichi/aggiungi al post quello che vuoi. In riferimento al post che ti ho segnalato dice che il problema era dovuto ad un pacchetto installato che andava in conflitto con la stampante. In base hai tuoi ultimi aggiornamenti forse c'è un problema alla stampante. Forse è la presa usb, della stampante, che non fà bene contatto, nelle peggiori ipotesi la stampante è andata.

In base hai tuoi ultimi aggiornamenti forse c'è un problema alla stampante. Forse è la presa usb, della stampante, che non fà bene contatto, nelle peggiori ipotesi la stampante è andata.

Penso anche io che ci sia un problema nella stampante (è molto vecchia) ...

No, io non ho installato il pacchetto "usbguard".

Per tutto il giorno oggi la stampante non veniva vista da lsusb.
Poi ho provato a collegare il cavo usb all´altro vecchio portatile da 17" e lí da lsusb veniva vista, riuscendo anche a stampare (ma scansionando solo in B/N).
Allora ho ricollegato subito il cavo usb al mio portatile e anche qui stavolta lo vedeva (sempre da lsusb), riuscendo anche qui a stampare (ma a scansionare solo in B/N).
A volte ho la sensazione che questa stampante mi prenda in giro ....
Di sicuro domani da lsusb non verrá vista di nuovo ...

Posto anche il risultato di hp-doctor (ci sono alcuni errori) ...

Gli errori sono due e più precisamente:

1 - warning: Failed to read /etc/cups/ppd/HP-Photosmart-C5100-series.ppd ppd file
PPD Description:
2 -Checking for HP Properitery Plugin's....No plug-in printers are configured.

Per il 1 - basta andare nella directory /etc/cups/pd/ e dare i permessi a tuo nome al file -> HP-Photosmart-C5100-series.ppd;
al 2 - da terminale dai il comando -> hp-plugin e rispondi alle domande. Rimango dell'idea, come accennato qualche post fà, che il problema sia qualche falso contatto alla presa usb della stampante o qualche filo/collegamento allentato al suo interno. Non so a che livello di manualità tu sia, per poter smontare la stampante per pulire/individuare eventuali problemi di collegamenti. Questa mia idea è supportata dal fatto che quando la muovi un pò questa risorge a nuova vita.

ed anche da lsusb la stampante non viene vista.
Ho spento e riacceso la stampante, tolto e rimesso il cavo usb ma "hp-doctor" ripete gli stessi errori (non la "sente") e lsusb non la vede.
Penso anche io che sia qualche problema di contatti della stampante ...

Hai ragione, a stampante accesa ho tolto il cavo usb dalla parte della stampante, lo ho reinfilato muovendolo un po´ ed adesso magicamente "lsusb" la vede e "hp-doctor" non dá errori.
