Problema con gnome-settings-daemon dopo un crash

Ciao a tutti,
poco fa il sistema mi è crashato (cercando di attivare il DMA sul lettore CD-Rom tramite hdparm).
Al riavvio, il controllo di fsck ha trovato degli errori ed è andato in maintenance shell. Ho dato un fsck nella maintenance shell, gli ho lasciato correggere gli errori, ho riavviato e tutto è ripartito... MA...

... in Gnome non compare più il tema del desktop, e mi compare una finestra che dice:

Se cerco di entrare in Preferenze->Temi compare un popup che dice:

Ho provato anche a dare il comando gnome-settings-daemon via terminale, con questo risultato:

Salvati i file e reinstalla il SO..  :-\  ciauz

Speravo in una soluzione meno drastica... questa è degna di windows.

reinstallo tutto?  sarebbe già la terza volta ::)

Alla fine hai risolto? Io no! e dovrebbe essere un problema simile

Sì, alla fine ho risolto, ma reinstallando un backup che avevo...
