[Risolto] Feisty e Grub, problemi!

Ciao a tutti!

Ho installato Feisty sul portatile di un amico.  (good)

Purtroppo abbiamo avuto alcuni problemi con Ubiquity, ma alla terza installazione, è andato tutto bene e il computer funzionava senza problemi!

Ora, senza aver cambiato nessuno impostazione particolare, ma avendo solo effettuato gli aggiornamenti, compare all'avvio una schermata nera con su scritto:

Ovviamente il sistema non parte più... ci si ferma a questa schermata e non si può più andare avanti!

Possiamo però scrivere uno di questi comandi...

Qualcuno ha qualche idea?!?

Ho provato a seguire la logica e a scrivere "boot" nella schermata iniziale....

Questo è il risultato:

error 8: kernel must be loaded before booting

Dopo una ricerca su Internet sono arrivato qui

Insomma, c'è una lista degli errori ma non delle soluzioni!!

quelli sono i comnadi disponibili in grub!! prima di dire boot devi specificare qale kernel vuoi bootare!! qual'è la configurazione di grub? postala!

Come faccio a vedere qual'è la configurazione di Grub!?

se puoi avviare in qualche altro modo il pc si trova in /boot/grub/menu.lst altrimenti all'avvio di grub ci dovrebbe essere tipo un menù in basso che ti dice cosa puoi fare.. se non sbaglio premendo il tasto e = edit puoi entrare nella configurazione e modificarla. dicci cosa c'è scritto!

Avvia ubuntu da cd live, monti la partizione dove hai installato
ubuntu, poi con un editor (solo per leggerlo)vai in /boot/grub/menu.lst
(questo è il percorso ameno che non abbia creato una /boot separata, ma non credo)
e lo posti tramite live cd.

Ovviamente gli smile non fanno parte del file, ma son venuti da soli...

la sintassi di grub è proprio questa:

title      Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.20-15-generic  (la riga visualizzata all'avvio)
root      (hd0,0)                                            (il disco in cui si trova il kernel)
kernel      /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.20-15-generic (il percorso del kernel) root=UUID=0b36b7f3-b8ce-4da3-a3fa-8eb7b809245f (il disco in cui si trova il kernel) ro quiet splash (le opzioni passate al kernel) 
initrd      /boot/initrd.img-2.6.20-15-generic (il percorso dellinitrd)


se come avviso ti dice che non trova il kernel significa che sono sbagliati i percorsi nelle righe che ti ho descritto sopra. prova a fare delle prove editando grub premendo il tasto e alla schermata di avvio!

Siamo riusciti a ripristinare il grub scaricando una vecchia versione da Internet...

Purtroppo per una serie di problemi ci troviamo a riformattare un'ennesima volta...  :'(

Sperando che questa volta vada tutto bene...
