ciao a tutti ho aggiunto una scheda di rete su ubuntu6.06 server ma quando vado ad avviare il server e dò il comando ifconfig non me la vede!!! come potrei fare???? ::) ::)

no i driver non li ho installati perchè non so il modello di scheda che ho , per il semplice motivo chè è un pò vecchia e non c'è scritto nemmeno il modello!!!

ragazzi ho dovuto correggere il topic, perchè non ho risolto il problema!!! allora io sto lavorando su 2 server per installare squid uno a casa e uno al lavoro!!! e con entrambi ho problemi con le schede di rete, quindi non può essere un caso sicuramente sono io che sbaglio qualcosa!! con il server del lavoro ho aggiunto una scheda di rete e questo è l'output del comando lspci:

il problema è che quando attivo la seconda scheda di rete la eth0 non funziona più!!!
non so come risolverla

Io di norma ho sempre usato due schede per due reti/sottoreti.
Comunque tu nella stessa rete hai messo due schede con ip diversi. Ok .
Ma quando dici che la seconda entra e la prima non funziona più cosa intendi ?

Ad esempio un ping che dice ??
Il kernel ti segnala qualcosa ( dmesg ) ?

Come hai configurato la seconda nic !! Hai modificato a mano dei files di configurazione oppure ti sei appoggiato ai tools grafici di sistema ?

quei resetting non sono niente di buono ..

proviamo a configurare eth1 a mano ( mettendo una rete inventata )

sudo ifconfig eth1 netmask 255.255.255.0 up 10.136.36.69
se da errore la prima volta riprova subito ...

poi da ifconfig eth1 ....

se hai un altro computer metti anche lui con 10.136.36.70 e prova a pingare ---

ho seguito la guida e forse ho risolto solo un problemino
ho configurato le schede di rete nel seguente modo:

ora se dal server pingo il router 192.168.1.1 tutto ok ma se provo a pingare www.google.it mi da il seguente errore:

su un pc con windows con indirizzo 10.23.70.2 sm 255.0.0.0 gw 192.160.1.100 riesco a pingare il server in entrambe le schede sia la 192.168.1.100 sia la 10.23.70.1
ora non capisco perchè non pinga su internet!!! eppure ho configurato anche l'indirizzo ip statico sul router!!! >:( >:(

Spero di dare un piccolo contributo.

Ho avuto lo stesso problema con due schede di rete (fortunatamente uguali per i driver ma di produttore diverso) montate su un PC con installato Ubuntu 2.6.15-27-server.
Ho assegnato due indirizzi diversi (nella stessa sottorete) ma non riuscivo a pingare niente.
Non solo ma se tentavo di riavviare la configurazione delle schede di rete con
/etc/init.d/networking restart
mi restituiva
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device
eth0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device
Failed tu bring up eth0

Ho provato a eliminare gli indirizzi IPV6 e adesso tutto funziona 

A questo punto ho disattivato definitivamente l'ipv6:
1. editare il file /etc/modprobe.d/aliases
2. cercare la riga
  alias net-pf-10 ipv6
3. sostituirla con
  alias net-pf-10 off
  alias ipv6 off



nel tuo caso proverei:
ifconfig eth0 del fe80::250:bfff:fe7d:1275/64
e
ifconfig eth1 del fe80::280:adff:fe72:b1a3/64

Tentar non nuoce

ping -I nome_interfaccia indirizzo_ip
(es. ping -I eth1 192.168.1.100)

ragazzi grazie ho risolto ho seguito i vostri consigli riguardo l'ipv6 poi ho configurato l'i route della scheda di rete eth0  è tutto funge alla perfezione
