Hello,
You've actually reached AMD support for embedded products. Unfortunately, we don't yet provide support for the ATI products. For support on the ATI products, please contact ATI Support at the link below:
http://support.ati.com
Or call 1-877-284-1566 for English North American Technical support.
Best Regards,

Dear AMD support, I write to you directly 'cause from many days I'm trying to configure an ATI AGP Theater with 64vram on my OS Ubuntu 6.06. Before I was using a NVidia and never I have had such kind of problems, now with that stupid card I have a lots of problems. It works normally, but when I have to use a little 3D, or the rendering, I have big problems. I have seen you joined the ATI and I write to you, asking you before all to check in many Linux-forums how many troubles ATI are giving. You processors are working fine but adding ATI, I don't think is a good idea, above all for the Linux community/world. We are already having troubles with that video trash, and this 'cause behind still windows. So I don't think you will make a good affair, but check those forums and you'll see what I mean. If you want to understand better, please ask them (ATI) why this card is called Theater, and again Radeon r100 and again Radeon 7200, when there is a specific Radeon Fire 7200. These are called messes, and not surely will give help to users. For this I hope the same will not happens in next future with your products 'cause AMD is a good cpu and I'm using it too.
With regards: XXXXXXXXXXXX (ometto la mia firma...)

Dear XXXXX, (nome ora omesso)
Thanks for your email outlining your concerns. Please rest assured that AMD is respectful of all operating systems and we are commited to give support to as many as we can with as many products as we can. It is still very early in the New AMD company and ATI is still very much unchanged by the merger.
Thanks for your support of AMD over the years.
Regards
Tim.

I'm sorry if I was missunderstood, but mine was not a question in support but only a simple complaint of what it is today about ATI. So, as I use AMD and I build pcs with AMD, I'm worried about the new join-venture about AMD (the working one) and the ATI(the troubled one). Do will I have to change cpu 'cause I don't like ATI and their way of releasing products? Careful, 'cause as told, many users have troubles in installing ATI graphic cards, and this is in relation to Windows, and Linux and OS2, OSs. So, or they will change their way of policies, or I think in little time they will sell only to a particular market, not to all. In Linux communities we have already a letter to send to the ATI group, with specific question about giving exact drivers for Linux. Do I have to think will be the same for next AMD cpus that at present are working fine? (I hope not). We need serious drivers for our OS. Will it be the same mistake with new AMD+ATI?
Thanks for reading.

Quello che conta è che ora rilascino i detti drivers con annessi e connessi visto che anche gli utenti Linux pagano come gli altri!
