scusate un attimo. procedura che ho seguito :

xorg.conf backuppato

    sudo gedit /etc/default/linux-restricted-modules-common -> DISABLED_MODULES="fglrx"

    sudo apt-get update

    sudo apt-get install module-assistant build-essential

    sudo apt-get install fakeroot dh-make debconf libstdc++5 linux-headers-$(uname -r)

file scaricato dal sito ati

    sh pacchetto.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/feisty

    sudo dpkg -i xorg-driveR.............deb

    sudo dpkg -i fglrx-kernel-source...................deb

    sudo dpkg -i fglrx-control..................deb

    sudo module-assistant prepare

    sudo module-assistant update

    sudo module-assistant build fglrx

    sudo module-assistant install fglrx

    sudo depmod -a

    sudo aticonfig --initial

    sudo aticonfig --overlay-type=Xv

reboot macchina

loggato con la sessione normale, non ho rallentamenti ed il return e- questo.

Risultato, non mi funziona compiz ed i driver hanno evitendi problemi. Il sistema è lento e va tutto a scatti, alcune volte mi sfarfallo lo schermo colorato di verde ed alcune icone non si vedono proprio. Dove ho sbagliato? Come risolvo? Grazie.

aggiornamento... per sfizio sono andato a vedere xtc/x11/xorg.conf e sorpresa delle sorprese il file NON ESISTE!

vai sul blog di divilinux, ci sono le istruzioni su come mettere e su come disinstallare i driver ati, ho appena messo gli ultimi senza problemi, anzi ti mando un link che li riporta tutti http://www.de-side.com/blogs/index.php?blog=2 e ti manda sul blog detto prima

a me sembra a posto e , daltronde, se fosse sbagliato avresti problemi con compiz, beryl etc.etc.
