come da titolo..ho visto che si può fare...ma sono un n00b di ubuntu..qualcuno sa dirmi come fare ad averlo con una guida semplicissima..

Se non installi i driver fglrx (ossia quelli che puoi installare semplicemente con la funzione "restricted drivers") dovrebbe bastarti abilitare gli effetti desktop mettendo la spunta anche sull'effetto cubo.

mi sa ho fatto casino perchè mi da la stessa cosa..potete dirmi passo per passo cosa digitare in terminale per far aprire il xorg.conf da modificare??

sudo nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf

prima però ti consiglio di fartene una copia di backup (sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf_bk)

la mia n00bietà su ubuntu è  ai massimi livelli..fino a 7 giorni fa non sapevo neanche del terminale..cmq ho modificato il file xorg.conf e ho messo Enable..ho attivato gli effetti desktop e è successo un casino totale.....ho riavviato e sembra andare bene...ho disabilitato i driver con restrizioni e sembra non sfarfallare....
adesso come posso ottenere questo cubo 3d??

dai da terminale questo comando
glxinfo | grep rendering
se come risposta da yes hai l accellerazione 3d  (good)
se dice no devi attivarla poi vedremo come fare  (yes)
