UBUNTU NON SI SPEGNE

Salve a tutti.
Ho un piccolo problema che però da un sacco di fastidio.
Ho ubuntu installato su un Pentium 3-933mhz, tnt riva mod64 32mb, qdi advance9:
Va tutto bene solo che quando lo spengo... non si spegne completamente ma rimane la finestra con il logo ubuntu.
Si può rtisolvere questo peoblema?

ciao a tutti!

anche io con il mio Asus L7300 (192 MB RAM, processore Celeron) avevo questo problema da qualche giorno.
ho risolto modificando menu.lst come consigliato da iakopo, togliendo quiet splash dalla riga del kernel in uso, e per ora si spegne come si deve!

non ho capito però se ho risolto il problema o l'ho solo aggirato.. ???

Hmm.. da quello che ho capito ho solo chiesto al portatile di farmi vedere i passaggi dello spegnimento, se questo è bastato tanto meglio, ma continuo a non sapere perché prima, con la schermata azzurra, andava in loop.
se lo scopro vi faccio sapere!

IO ho ancora questo problema purtroppo, ma essendo un niubbone non ho capito cosa devo fare x risolverlo come ha fatto l'amico precedentemente.

Qualcuno saprebbe dirmi passo passo che riga inserire nel terminale???

vai verso il fondo del file, troverai delle righe schritte così:

niente anche in modalià testuale si blocca e mi compare un messaggino di errore che dice  "NM_HAL_DENIT LIBHAL SHUTDOWN FAILED
che posso fare???
sembra che il problema sia di Libhal  :-\

Hem....credo che il passaggio chiave sia questo, ma nn ho capito dove aggiungere queste 2 linee....per la seconda devo fare il solito comando da terminale sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst e aggiungerla dopo il booting kernel?!?!? sarebbe come ultima cosa dopo tutto quello che ho copia/incollato prima???


Ma la prima invece dove la metto? qual' è la riga da digitare nel terminale? (ammesso che ci sia )

Scusate se vi rompo le balle e voglio essere imboccato col cucchiaino, ma sono veramente alle prime armi e penso ricorderete come ci si sente

although clearly I'ma bit dense as I forgot that I had just fitted a new wifi card.

The lock up is due to the Netwrok Manager having trouble with the wifi and was fixed after some Googling.

In /etc/modules add the following line to the end,

apm power_off=1

In /boot/grub/menu/.lst add the following line to the end of your kernel line for your booting kernel,

apm=power_off

Lost original source of fix but kudos to whoever you were.

Ho provato ma nemmeno così il problema si è risolto... nn so davvero dove altro guardare, qualke altro suggerimento?
